Jamie, once a talented young sommelier, is on a downward spiral…
Jamie knows wine. But she won't drink rosé. She can't. Instead she's drinking bottle after bottle of cheap red wine, her preferred chaser for an ever increasing dose of Prozac. Whatever will help her to bury what needs burying while still maintaining base functions... like baking a loaf of honey and oat bread. Or taking a walk in the rain.
But she is trying to dig her way out. And maybe really, truly confronting the sordid, the wondrous, the painful things that brought her here... maybe that is just the rope she needs.
Scent is a solo show about the iron grip of grief, the unwieldiness of love, and the joy and the pain of remembering.
